Large Hadron Collider
The biggest machine ever built. Contains 27 km of superconducting magnets that operate at at temperature colder than space. Its job is to crash 2 beams of particles together at crazy high speed, and then see what subatomic particles fly out. Helps scientists investigate elementary particles, spacetime and the laws that govern nature.
